The fit is generous like an HV boot should be, but it's not a bucket. It fits well in the heel and has an anatomical shape throughout.

The Atomic Hawx Magna 130 is a stiffer flexing, high-performance boot that is built for wider foot shapes. Often times, more performance oriented ski boots only come in narrower lasts that aren't suited for wider feet. The Magna 130 doesn't follow those rules. The Atomic Hawx Magna 130 is every bit as powerful and high-performing as its more narrow counterparts, the Prime 130 and the Ultra 130. 

If you're an advanced skier with a wider foot shape the Magna 130 is for you. It's powerful yet smooth flexing to allow you to drive skis with ease and predictability. It isn't the most forgiving flexing boot out there, so if you're still figuring some things out on ski, check out the Magna 120.  If you are a more performance oriented skier looking to get the most out of your skis, or if you're a taller, heavier skier the 130 flex makes sense for you. 

For a 130 flex boot, the Magna is not difficult to put on and while the liner is on the more precise side of things, it isn't overbearing in any facet of the fit. This is one of our favorite high-volume options for advanced skiers who need a high horsepower boot. 

Bootfitter's Notes

The Magna 130 fits like a high-volume boot should, generous where it needs to be but firm where it counts for skiing at a higher level. It's roomy across the inistep and top of the foot, but firm in the heel and around the achilles. Length may feel short on the big toe, this will go away once the liner is molded to your foot shape. The shell of this boot is also heat moldable makinig the fitting process a breeze.

Ski boots are sized in mondo point, which is simply the length of your foot in centimeters, and there’s no true half sizing — 26.0 and 26.5 are typically the same boot.
