Capita Defenders of Awesome Snowboard 2025

For yet another season, the Capita Defenders of Awesome, AKA the DOA sits atop the most popular and widely loved snowboards in the world. The DOA has made its name as an iconic board over the last decade because it excels in such a wide range of conditions and fits just about any riding style. From all-mountain, to freestyle, to even some backcountry the DOA’s gonna get it done. 

The board has a medium flex pattern, camber between your feet, and rocker in the tip and tail creating an extra poppy feel. The goal of the DOA is to provide a balance of stability and playfulness, and it’s one of the few boards that hit that balance perfectly. A twin shape allows for a really balanced feel while also giving you the option to ride in either direction. It’s poppy and playful, so it can obviously get down in the park, but the DOA surprises me every year with its versatility. It grips well on hard snow, and is even good for a few woods runs when the trees are filled in. If I had to choose one board to spend a whole season on, not knowing anything about conditions, I would strongly consider the DOA.
