The Armada Declivity X 102 is an all-mountain ski with a wider waist width, some real power, and a bit of that classic Armada freestyle DNA. The previous generation of the Armada Declivity 102 was burly, powerful, stable, and loved to be pushed hard. The construction update this year still maintains the high performance characteristics but they've introduced some more playful traits to allow the Declivity X to perform better at low speeds and improve maneuverability on more technical trails. At 102mm wide the Declivity X 102 can tackle a huge variety of terrain ranging from steep groomers to choppy bumped-up runs. More aggressive skiers will appreciate the power, energy, and grip the Declivity X 102 provides at higher speeds while less experienced will still find turn initiation easy and confidence-inspiring. Compared to the older Declivity 102 the new version is more well-rounded without feeling like a lower-performing ski. If you spend a good chunk of your ski day on groomers the Declivity X 102 has you covered but it's always ready for a trip off-trail or over some bumpy terrain. Armada has done an awesome job maintaining the high-performance characteristics the Declivity series is known for while also making the ski easier for intermediate skiers and better equipped for more technical skiing.
