The Head Edge 130 fits wider feet exceptionally well and is more precise fitting than some other high-volume boots. It's able to drive skis with power and confidence but isn't difficult to put on and provides a solid level of warmth that you'd typically only find in a lower flexing boot.

The Head Edge 130 HV is a high-volume boot with fit and performance characteristics that you'd usually only find in low-volume boots. Don't get me wrong, this is still a boot geared towards skiers with wider-than-average feet and skiers who lean more towards a comfort-oriented fit. The 130 flex is powerful enough to drive just about any recreational ski out there, but it's not a difficult boot to put on or ski in all day. While the Edge 130 is a higher performing, high-volume boot, it's a more forgiving 130 flex so it works for a wider range of skier types than some other 130 flex boots. Intermediates with wider feet that like a responsive boot and experts who need a strong boot but want something that won't feel like a vice on their feet will love the Edge 130. It does everything a stiffer boot should do, drive skis well and keep you confident, while being comfortable enough to ski all day. Bonus points to this boot for having a walk mode on the back to allow for easy cruising around the resort, or the bar. 

Bootfitter's Notes

The Head Edge 130 is on the more precise side of high-volume boots. The length is generous but not enough to worry about sizing down. The sides of the feet are a bit snug for a high-volume boot but the liner is soft enough in the forefoot so you won't feel overly compressed in the ski boot. The heel and ankle area is snug, but not as firm as a mid or low-volume boot will be. Instep and top of the foot are generous, making this a great option for skiers with thicker ankles or high arches. The cuff of this boot is accommodating enough to keep larger or more athletic calves happy in the boot all day.
