The Atomic Hawx Prime XTD 105 is a women's specific alpine touing boot that works for a wide range of foot shapes and skier abilities. The Prime XTD is one of our more popular boots in this category. It drives skis really well, and has enough power to be skied aggressively but it doesn't have an aggressive fit. On the downhill side of things, the Prime XTD can keep up with most traditional alpine boots and will never hold you back from skiing wherever you want, however you want. On the uphill side of things, the walk mode provides a fluid, effortless feel and even though this isn't the lightest alpine touring boot out there it is light enough to keep touring days a breeze. If you are an intermediate to advanced skier looking for one boot that does it all, the Prime XTD is one of the best options. 

Bootfitter's Notes

The Atomic Hawx Prime XTD is true to size and width. The toe box is a more pointed than most ski boots so you may feel a bit more pressure on the inside of your big toe and/or outside of the pinky toe (this will go away once the boot is molded to your foot). The instep is generous for a 100mm lasted ski boot. The heel pocket is nice and snug to keep you held in but it isn't overbearing. Small pressure points will come out if the shell is molded to your feet. If you are looking for a hybrid touring boot and are typically in high-volume boots, the Prime XTD should be on your list. Skiers with average feet will find this a tough boot to beat right out of the box.
