The Atomic Hawx Magna 95 is perfect for newer and intermediate skiers looking for a more comfort-oriented fit. The high-volume fit is ideal for someone with a wider foot who doesn't want to squeeze into something too narrow. If your foot is on the more narrow side, this boot will feel comfortable out of the box, but it's going to be a touch too wide. At 95 flex, this boot is smooth and predictable in flex without sacrificing too much of that confident and responsive feel. It makes sense for progressing beginner to intermediate skiers who want a strong boot that they won't grow out of. It's not a total beginner boot, but I would recommend it to a beginner, it will help you become a better skier quicker than a softer boot and will keep up with your progression. More seasoned skiers who hover closer to the intermediate/advanced category will find the boot undemanding, comfortable, and easy to control. Advanced skiers who like to ski fast and aggressively should look at something stiffer like the Magna 105. 

Bootfitter's Notes

The Atomic Hawx Magna 95 is a true high-volume fit for skiers with wider feet or comfort-oriented skiers. It is generous in width and on top of the foot while being firm enough in the heel to keep you planted. Out of the box, toes may feel a bit crowded in length and vertically but this will open up very quickly and does not warrant sizing up. The shell on the Magna is heat moldable along with the liner making the fitting process a breeze for customers and boot-fitters.
