A powerful alpine touring boot for more advanced skiers with wider feet. It's got a walk mode and it can drive skis with power and ease. If you're a more advanced skier but don't like being crushed into boots that are too narrow the Cochise HV 130 is awesome for you.

The Tecnica Cochise 130 is one of the most popular alpine touring boots on the market, and now it comes in a fit for skiers with wider feet; finally. It's powerful enough to handle aggressive skiing in the resort while being wide enough to accommodate wider foot shapes; ski boots do not need to be uncomfortable. At a 130 flex, the Cochise offers good rebound and stiffness to be pushed hard and to push burlier skis around the hill. For an alpine touring boot, the Cochise is never out of place at the resort while still being more than capable in the backcountry. For advanced skiers looking for "one boot to do it all," the Cochise is one of the best. When you are out there touring in this boot you can tell it isn't the lightest thing out there, but the external walk mode, lighter construction than a true alpine boot, and a few other touring features make the Cochise 130 an efficient tool for short ascents on touring bindings or even quick boot packs to terrain you can't access via chairlift. If you're an advanced or aggressive skier with wider feet but still need solid downhill performance with the ability to go touring, the Cochise HV 130 should be on your radar.

Bootfitter's Notes

The Tecnica Cochise HV 130 offers a generous fit in all the right places for skiers with wider-than-average feet. Length is true to size, the instep is forgiving for those with higher insteps, and the liner and shell are heat moldable to accommodate different foot shapes. Compared to the mid-volume fit, the Cochise HV is more forgiving along the sides of the feet. The heel and ankle areas are firm and provide a secure feeling for a higher-volume boot. The cuff of the boot is also accommodating for skiers with larger calves. Most small pressure points will come out of the boot once it is molded to your feet and Tecnica boots, in general, are some of the easiest to modify if necessary.
