K2 Mindbender 90 C Skis 2024

A groomer ski that's playful enough to dominate off-piste as well. It's light in the tip and tails, giving it a playful feel in tight terrain, and an energetic feel in and out of a carve. A 90mm ski that pivots this easily is rare, so compared to its category, the Mindbender 90C is more accessible and more maneuverable than just about everything else.

A lightweight and nimble just as at home in your favorite tree run as it is on groomers.

NOW YOU C ME.

The K2 Mindbender 90C stands out among other 90mm all-mountain skis because, while it loves to carve, it has no problem going off-trail and is easy to turn. It’s not as powerful as other skis in this category, or even in the Mindbender series. Most of the skis in this family, like the Mindbender 89Ti, use a metal layout throughout the core whereas the 90C utilizes carbon. This makes the 90C lighter, more snappy, and easier to ski. On groomers, while it’s not as stable and doesn’t grip as well as the Ti versions, it’s easy to balance on, initiates a turn easily, and maintains a quick feeling edge to edge. A lightweight feel underfoot and through the shovels makes it feel right at home blasting through bumps, trees, and crud. This is rare for a ski that’s only 90mm wide. A lot of the other skis in this class dominate hardpack but feel too damp once you venture off-piste. If all you’re looking for is the most hard snow capable option, the Mindbender 89Ti is closer to what you want. The 90C is for someone looking for a groomer ski that’s equally as capable off-trail, or someone looking for an approachable ski in this category.

Who's this ski for? Skiers who care about frontside performance but don't want to limit themselves to the frontside. Skiers looking for an approachable option in the low 90mm category.

Who isn't this ski for? Hard chargers who are only concerned about how stable their ski is at high speeds.

The Test Crew

We test products year round in order to curate the best gear for you.

A top choice if you're looking for a quick and agile frontside ski. The benefit of the 90C is it's easy to turn and pivot. It performs really well off-trail or in variable conditions compared to other skis in this category. It's also a lot more approachable for the progressing intermediate skier.
