LONG OVERDUE.

Volkl's womens line of all-mountain skis hasn't changed in a long time, over 10 years, we haven't had Volkl women's skis in our model line up for 3 years because they were simply surpassed by K2, Elan and Head.  Finally Volkl has upped their game and have a women's ski line worth having -- Flair.  The Flair 81 is the girlfriend of the well known RTM 81 with a lighter weight core and a binding that is easier to click into.

It's lighter and it grips better on harder snow and at higher speeds, less chatter!  If you have a friend that raves about the RTM 81, girls this is your option for that same thrill. 

Construction

3D Ridge Construction - Heralded as the most effective construction design ever put out by Volkl engineering,  3D Ridge Construction is characterized by a central ridge, responsible for torsional stiffness. The bisecting ridge drops off abruptly on either side of the ski, to an extremely thin, beveled edge. The profile of the ski edges are dramatically reduced by this removal of non-essential core material, resulting in knife-like penetration through deep snow, crud or slush. 

Powered by Carbon - A carbon stringer gives the Flair 81’s a balanced and stable feel running flat at speed, and through high edge angle turns.

Core

3D Ridge Core - By removing non-essential mass from the core of the ski, the 3D Ridge Core significantly increases agility and maneuverability without conceding stability or edge grip. 

Shape

XTD Tip and Tail Rocker - Ease of turn initiation is preserved in the 2016 Volkl RTM series by pressing early rise in to the tip and tail of the ski. This profile is beneficial in making turns of any radius length, regardless of terrain conditions.

Camber - Edge grip on hard snow is an essential characteristic of any all-mountain ski. The Flair 81’s cambered under-foot profile distributes your weight along the length of the ski edge, resulting in vastly improved edge hold for 2017.

Binding

Marker iPT Wideride XL 11.0 TCX W - This system binding is integrated directly into the Volkl Flair 81. These ski bindings are designed to make the ski feel extremely quick edge-to-edge and provide maximum power transfer out of every turn. They have a din range of 3-12.
