END OF SEASON SALE, ALL 2024 GEAR ON SALE NOW
As this review is being written for The North Face ThermoBall Hoodie it is a cool 50 degree day here in Boston, and this is the perfect jacket to wear for the afternoon and will be just fine as the temp dips when the sun goes down. As the weather gets colder the ThermoBall Hoodie won't get put away, it will become a layering piece for colder days and most certainly days on the hill. ThermoBall jackets are warm and breathable, though if it's windy your going to want a little more protection from the wind, but for most Fall days the ThermoBall Hoodie will do just fine -- just fine indeed.
Regular Fit - Runs true to size, if you are typically a large in North Face, you'll be a Large in the ThermoBall Hoodie.
Mid-Layer piece for skiing or outerlayer stand alone piece that will keep you toasty on those super chilly days.
ThermoBall - Thermoball is a synthetic insulation developed by Primaloft to emulate the loft and compressibility of down. Typical synthetics are manufactured in sheets in a continuous-filament style, intended to provide a blanket warming effect. Continuous-filament synthetic insulations are effective at trapping heat, no doubt, but lack the packability and breathability of goose or duck down. Thermoball’s individual clusters create dead space for warm dry air storage, efficiently permit the transmission of moisture vapor, and occupy minimal space in a pack.
Hand Warmer Pockets - These helpful pockets are also pack compatible, no need to take off your pack to keep your hands warm in your jacket.
The ThermoBall Hoodie is an incredibly versatile jacket that can come in handy all four seasons. A must have in your backpack for the next weekend adventure.
