The North Face’s Steep Series is their new line dedicated to backcountry adventures, whether they be uphill or downhill. They designed the Snomad Pack to be their flagship backpack of the Steep Series, and it definitely shows with all of the technical features found. At 34 liters in the main compartment there is plenty of storage space, and will probably feel too big if you’re using it inbounds. Out-of -bounds though, it’s got everything you need, with specific pockets dedicated to goggles, helmets, and your avalanche tools. Whether your a believer in A-Frame or diagonal ski carry, you’ll be covered either way as the pack is compatible with either carry method. Special stashes for gloves and ice tools found on the outside of the pack just show North Face’s commitment to crafting the ultimate backcountry touring pack.
