Tough enough for skiing some of the steepest stuff out there, breathable enough for alpine touring and only 250 bucks.  The North Face built the NFZ pant with a relaxed fit and out of a stretch fabric for maximum mobility.  The pants integrate with the matching NFZ Jacket's powder skirt so you can keep the snow out if it gets deep.  The pockets on the thighs are more exposed but are fully taped and sealed so you won't have to worry about the contents of those pockets getting soaked.  If you're looking for a solid ski pant that is durable and a relaxed fit, the NFZ pant is the way to go.

Fit

Relaxed Ergo Fit - The NFZ pant has room in the body combined with articulated sleeves to aid movement.

Style

This is a Gore-Tex 2 layer pant that is smartly insulated with Primaloft Silver.

Performance Level

Gore-Tex 2L - The fabric is a 75 denier, 4.13 oz/yd² 100% polyester dobby with a Gore membrane.

Insulation

PrimaLoft Silver - This jacket uses body mapping to add 100 grams to the lower back, 60g in the upper body and shoulders, with 40g down the spine to keep you from sweating it up.

Pockets

Hand Warmer Pockets - Storm flap covered, these hand warmer pockets are sure to please.

Thigh Pockets - Tape sealed pockets keep whatever you want to keep in those pockets dry -- great cell phone pocket.
