The FuseForm Brigandine 3L Pants from The North Face definitely fall in the BA category. Why are these pants so bad ass you might ask? Look no further than FuseForm. When making your clothing waterproof, stitching is the weak link. A commercial sewing machine can put thousands of needle holes in your clothing in a matter of minutes so TNF developed FuseForm to combat that. When weaving the fabric for these pants, thicker abrasion zones are added in areas of high wear. This eliminates the need for extra seam tape and stitches keeping you lighter and more waterproof. The fit of these pants is dialed and the 4 way stretch will help big time as you are headed for that last push to the summit.

Additional Awesomeness

FuseForm abrasion zones - The North Face seamlessly weaves in higher denier zones at the kick patch, seat, belt loops, waist tabs, pocket openings, knees and thighs.

Adjustable waist tabs - These are great to adjust fit depending on weather and amount of under layers.

Belt loops with powder skirt tabs - These pants are designed to integrated with the powder skirt clips located on other North Face jackets.

Chimney Venting - In order to replicate the draft of a traditional chimney, the North Face has strategically placed mesh zones at the top of the boot gaiter that will draft air up the leg and out of the inner thigh vents while moving. Simply close the thigh vents to stop the flow of air.

Lot Lift System - Located in both thigh pockets are strings that are ultimately stitched to the hem of the pants. By pulling on the cords, you are able to lift the hem of the pants to keep them from dragging when you take off your ski boots.
