The Brigandine from The North Face's Steep Series was designed to fit like a glove in the sense, every seam, every detail was made to cater to your movements for skiing and riding. A few of us have had the chance to test this jacket out and it quickly became a favorite. FUTURELIGHT™ fabric is obviously incredibly waterproof and breathable but it's also incredibly light. I was able to layer all the way up to a 600 fill down jacket on a freezing day and down to my merino baselayer and it still had a great fit. It's the sisterhood of traveling jackets. It's longer cut is not only functional but looks good on everyone. The five external pockets are all placed strategically to not interfere with your pack for back and side country missions. The Brigandine is a seriously sick jacket and will stay in our personal collections for a while.
