END OF SEASON SALE, ALL 2024 GEAR ON SALE NOW
Flex: 130 // weight: 1900 grams @ 26.5 centimeters // 99 mm last @ 26.5
2018 is a massive year for crossover alpine/touring boots. Taking some DNA from the new Mach1 boots the Cochise is an all new 99mm last, previously 100mm. Complaints with the 1st generation Cochise were the toe box -- it's huge, the roomy ankle and heel pocket didn't provide enough retention and the boot was too soft laterally. Having addressed these key fit and function issues the Cochise 130 is a slightly more forgiving Mach1 LV fit with a walk mode and Dynafit inserts.
The Cochise Pro 130 isn't the lightest boot out here, but it's not heavy either. If you're looking for something lighter and more uphill focused with a similar fit you should check out the Tecnica Zero G Guide, the Triax plastic shell and ultralon liner cut down on the weight substantially.
The Cochise Pro 130 is a solid performing downhill ski boot, honestly I can say that I didn't feel any lack in precision or power between the Mach 130 and Cochise Pro 130.
Triax Shell + Triax Cuff
2 Piece Overlap
Designed by: Tecnica // Built by: Tecnica, Hungary
How's the Fit: Think Mach1 LV Heel and more relaxed MV forefoot, it'll feel a little more forgiving due to shell thickness on the Cochise. The Cochise is a thinner shell than the Mach1.
Binding Compatibility: Gripwalk compatible bindings, Dynafit Inserts
