GripWalk // Dynafit Inserts
One of the originals to get involved with the alpine touring crossover boots is still at the front of the pack. The Tecnica Cochise 130 is built with the Custom Adaptive Shape (CAS) liner/shell that are fully customizable and incredibly easy for a boot fitter to work on. 99mm last gives you the snugness of a low volume without crushing your foot. That little bit of extra width can pay dividends on a long tour up with the reward of how a downhill boot should feel for the way down.
The Cochise 130 isn't the lightest boot out here, but it's not heavy either. If you're looking for something lighter and more uphill focused with a similar fit you should check out the Tecnica Zero G Guide, the Triax plastic shell and ultralon liner cut down on the weight substantially.
The Cochise 130 is a solid performing downhill ski boot, honestly I can say that I didn't feel any lack in precision or power between the Mach 130 and Cochise 130.
Triax Shell + Triax Cuff

How's the Fit: Think Mach1 LV Heel and more relaxed MV forefoot, it'll feel a little more forgiving due to shell thickness on the Cochise. The Cochise is a thinner shell than the Mach1 to reduce weight.
Binding Compatibility: Gripwalk compatible bindings, Dynafit Inserts
