It goes without saying that if you want a stiffer flexing boot and solid heel hold and have an oddly shaped foot, you're having a tough time finding a pair of boots that fit. That's what is nice about the X Pro 120, if the already awesome fitting boot doesn't fit you, you can customize the shell up to 6mm with the help of a Ski Boot oven that most ski shops should have.
While fit is crucial to happiness on the hill, there is a lot of performance in your feet being comfortable. The TwinFrame is a bi-injection of PU; the blue color is more rigid for responsiveness while the black is the customizable part of the shell. Having the denser plastics only where you need it give the X Pro 120 an edge over the comptition in the sense that your feet can be comfortable while you're in a shell that performs. The liner is really awesome too!
If the X Pro 120 wasn't quite close enough fit wise, you should check out the Vector Evo 120.
A true flexing 120 with a fairly progressive flex. With Salomon's custom shell the boot can expand 6mm when heat is applied whereever the color is black (yep go ahead and take a look at the image above again).
My CustomFit 3D Race Liner - More forgiving of a liner than the Lab liner in the X Max 130 with an awesome out of the box fit. 80% of the foam in this liner is thermomoldable.
4 Micro-Adjustable Buckles - 4 sleek micro-adjustable buckles keep your foot locked in place.
3D Buckle - The buckle over the instep can be set to 3 different postions so you can walk that fine line of not too tight, just right.
24mm oversized pivot - Sounds gimmicky, looks gimmicky, it's not. Because the 'bolt' is larger than other manufacturers it provides a better integration between the lower shell and upper cuff for increased responsiveness especially when at higher speeds or in more demanding terrain.
