BACK SEAT RIDIN'

The Salomon Super 8 Snowboard has a super surfy feel because of it's unique Back Seat Camber profile. This baseline profile features a flat area under your front foot and a cambered zone under your back foot. This puts all the power under your back foot for a surf-like feel through powder and increased control and response on groomed conditions. The stance sets you back as well, for a really long and wide nose that will float like a dream in soft snow. Down think this is just a powder board with no power, all that camber creates great edge hold and basalt stringers in the core give the board a ton of pop!

Construction

Popster - A wood shaped core helps maximum the natural snap and pop of wood. It feels like your skateboard's kick-tail, except you're connected and on snow!

Ghost Basalt Stringers - Basalt stringers are sewn into the triax layer for increased stability and energy transmission.

Core

Aspen Select - This full wood core provides a consistent, predictable flex pattern, as well as increased impact resistance.

Board Profile

Back Seat Camber - Flat/Camber - Camber under the back foot for stability and power, and a flat area under the front foot for easy-turning through softer snow.

Shape

Directional - A setback stance combined with a slightly wider nose allows you to float over soft snow really well. 

Sidecut

Quadratic - Salomon blends elliptic curves into their sidecut, making this board easy to turn and effortlessly maneuverable.

Suspension

Royal Rubber Pads - 4 mm soft rubber blocks are inserted into the snowboards ABS sidewalls. This helps dampen snow vibrations and absorb big impacts from hard landings.

Medium Stone Finish - This finish makes the base even faster in every snow condition.

Base / Edges

Sintered - Excellent glide, exceptional wax retention.

All Mountain Edge Bevel - Detuned tip and tail to 1 degree, Bevel in-between feet 2 degrees. This delivers incredible edge hold with no hang-ups.
