If having one ski is the plan, and you want a good mix of stability and playfulness the Lumen 99 should be on your short list of skis.  More stable then the Elan Ripstick, though not as playful and not as chargey feeling as the Nordica Santa Ana 100.  The light weight feeling doesn't make the skis feel nervous on harder snow, but it does make for an incredibly easy and predictable ski when the conditions demand it.  We like the versatility of the QST series and how effortless more difficult lines become, a real confidence booster is a good way to describe the Lumen 99.
