Up and down their line, Ride always has a fantastic set of binding models, and this year’s standout may be the Capo. Right in that sweet spot of stiff-but-not-too-stiff that will be perfect for intermediate riders looking to take the next step, and advanced riders who want something that can shred. Ride constructs their bindings from Aircraft Grade Aluminum as oppose to traditional plastic, and you’ll be able to feel the difference. I like aluminum because as a sturdier metal it will be more responsive, but it’s also really lightweight and cuts out a lot of the bulk that comes with reinforced plastic. The Capo’s toe strap grips your boot really well, which may not seem that important, but man is it nice to have comfort and not have to worry about sliding around. While some park rats might prefer the Ride Rodeo, the Capo will be great for carving, floating, and nuking while still giving you just enough flex to have a good time.
