The Rab Positron Jacket combines a staggering 10 ounces of 800 fill goose down with boxwall baffles and a water resistant outer fabric to create your next favorite jacket. The Positron is the perfect winter jacket for high altitude adventures. This coat is the perfect over layer to use when you pull into camp after a long ski tour. The Positron is top of the line in fit and function. The jacket is sewn together with durable nylon inside and out that is down proof and ready for adventure. The outer layer is made of a fabric called Pertex Endurance that is lightly coated to provide 1000 millimeters of breathable waterproofing. Normally, water is a down jacket's arch nemesis, but thanks to a new hydrophobic down treatment, Rab has taken the stress out of cold and wet conditions. The Hydrophobic coating is added during down processing and it helps each down cluster resist wetting, dry faster, and loft better. To ensure that you stay as warm as possible Rab uses a boxwall baffles in the torso back and hood. Boxwall focuses on keeping the down in the right place and it also uses many less stitch holes allowing less body heat to escape. Add to all of that a hem drawcord, stuff sack, and velcro cuffs and you have one serious down jacket.
