The Electron Jacket from Rab combines 800 fill hydrophobic down with a 1000mm water resistant Pertex shell to keep you warm in foul weather. The Pertex Endurance shell and the ripstop nylon interior create a durable, breathable, and water resistant casing for the high quality down that fills their walls. Rab uses 800 fill power european goose down that has been treated during processing to be hydrophobic. Hydrophobic down is designed to absorb less water, dry faster, and maintain loft. The hood of this jacket is helmet compatible and it has a flexible wire brim to maintain a better field of vision. All of the zippers on this jacket are YKK and the font zipper is a Vislon zipper that looks good and glides effortlessly. The cuffs of the Electron are stretch woven and the whole jacket packs into an into an included stuff sack. If you get cold in the winter it might be time to invest in down.
