END OF SEASON SALE, ALL 2024 GEAR ON SALE NOW
The POC Receptor Backcountry MIPS Helmet is about as legit as skiing and riding helmets get. POC's Double Shell System provides the impact dispersion and puncture resistance that hard chargers need. Multi Impact Expanded Polypropylene Core is a mouthful. What matters is that the use of this particular core material allows the POC Receptor Backcountry to sustain multiple impacts without the creation of dead spots. Aramid is military grade synthetic fiber that POC uses to create support bridges. These bridges disperse the force of impacts. The MIPS system provides additional impact protection. Not all impacts occur squarely to the helmet shell. Off-center impacts cause dangerous rotational force to be applied to the neck and brain. With POC’s MIPS System, the outer shell of the helmet moves independently of the liner in order to minimize the crash energy transmitted to your body. A RECCO avalanche beacon is built in – remember that every beacon you have on you increases your chances of being rescued.
Double Shell Construction - Two helmet shells is better than one. Resists vent puncture in addition to dampening impacts. The best of both worlds for maximum protection!
Double Shell Vent System - A vent system that allows airflow and temperature regulation without increasing the likelihood of puncture.
EPP Foam Lining - This lining is unique because it's capable of withstanding multiple impacts. Great for hard charging shredders, who find themselves in gnarly situations time-and-time again.
RECCO - This avalanche recovery system is built in and is going to be there for you, especially when you need it most.
