Picture has been known for a few years for making really good-looking apparel with a focus on ethical sourcing and recycled materials, but coming into the 2021 season the technical aspect of their gear has gotten a lot better. The Track Jacket might have the look and the price-point of an entry level of jacket, but you get a lot of good stuff packed in here. Picture has switched over to 20K DryPlay which just means that the waterproofing of the jacket is going to be superior to just about anything else in this price range, and Coremax Insulation is a really thin, lightweight lining that does a really good job of being warm without being bulky. As a result it's significantly warmer than a shell, but doesn't feel all that much heavier or more restrictive.
