We've been on the search for the best heated gloves for several years and the best one's are the Outdoor Research Lucent Heated Gloves.  Creating the best heated glove is a little more than just finding a good battery that can withstand cold temps and placing the heating elements properly across the hand.  It starts with creating the best glove first and bearing in mind that heat is going to be added electronically.  

The Lucent's are extremely warm without turning the gloves on to one of their 3 settings; High, Medium and Low.  The problem with other heated gloves is they just make you sweat the materials that the gloves are made of aren't good enough to wick moisture away from the hand -- the Lucent's are breathable.  

These are the easiest heated gloves to use and put on.  The pull tab on them is a great feature and honestly a handy thing to have on any glove with a gauntlet of this magnitude.  The batteries also have an internal pocket with a locking zipper, the placement of the batteries on the wrist is the best and you can still pull your jacket over the cuff of the gloves.

Simply the best heated gloves money can buy.

100% Nylon shell with a Goat leather palm (goat is the most durable leather known to humans).

Insulation

EnduraLoft Insulation, 333g on back of hand, 200g on the palm and 133g on the guantlet.

Waterproofness/Breathability

It's Gore-Tex so you know you have these two things covered.
