At speed, or in technical terrain, the potential for an unsafe situation to arise is much higher in the presence of variable light conditions. Oakley’s Prizm Lens Technology delivers the illuminating contrast you expect of your lens in both resort and side country environments - where areas receiving direct sun can abut and alternate with fully shaded terrain features. Prizm sets itself apart with its unique ability to block out a large range of colors that the eye struggles with while allowing many easily identifiable colors through. Research has found specific blues and oranges to facilitate the human eye’s identification of contrast. With these findings in mind, Oakley has designed Prizm Technology to allow particular shades of these colors through the lens in order to provide the best possible visibility while skiing or snowboarding at your favorite resort or side stash.
