BY using Nikwax Down Wash Direct, the DWR treatment will be restored to repelll water, and the insulation inside your garment will be revitalized to trap heat the way it was designed to. Peformance

Nikwax Down Wash Direct revitalizes insulation within down clothing as well as restores the DWR finish by removing dirt, oils, and residue from the materials.

When down is put through a lot of use, and the DWR finish begins to deteriorate, it is no longer able to insulate you the way it was designed because the feathers become matted down, are unable to capture your heat in air pockets, and attract water. This impacts the garments overall ability to repell water and remain breathable.

When to use?

When your waterproof clothing begins to soak water up...it is time to restore the DWR coating and revitalize the down insulation. 

By using Down Wash Direct, dirt and residue will be removed from the garment that has been inhibiting it from repelling water well, and will restore its waterproofing abilities as well as its insulation in order to keep you warm, dry, and breathable. 

How to use?

For larger items it is best to hand wash. Otherwise, mix Down Wash Direct into a washing machine with a maximum of 2 items. Wash on a low spin setting and tumble dry afterwards if the care label allows.
