Anything that comes close to reminding us of Top Gun has to be sick and the NEW Never Summer Maverix is no exception. A completely new series, shape, and profile from Never Summer has brought a whole lot of awesomeness to the table. The Shaper Series introduces the NEW Fusion Rocker Camber shape for epic versatility that puts more camber in the rear and increases rocker in the nose. Depending on what you want out of this board you can size up for a cushy smooth ride or size down for responsive nimbleness. The choice is yours and you honestly can’t go wrong either way. Long Nose, short tail, and all the fixings on the inside will satisfy your all mountain needs. Carve it, slash it, and even drop cliffs without thinking twice. Tim Canaday, 34 year board shaper, put his heart and soul into this series to increase your fun. Construction

NEW! Fusion Rocker Camber – Increased rocker in the nose with an aggressive camber profile underfoot in the back. Essentially it’s Never Summers Original Rocker Camber profile up front and the Ripsaw Profile in the back that blends float and power into one!

Core

NS SuperLight Wood Core - Full wood core made with genetically modified poplar and birch hardwood that blends power with minimal weight for unequaled performance. (9)

Elastomeric Underfoot Stabilizers - Located directly under the inserts for vibration absorption that keeps things nice and stable at high speeds.

Shape

Vario Power Grip Sidecut - The middle of the board has a flat radius that transitions into deeper sidecut towards the tip and tail.  This allow the board to track straight when you riding the board flat and gives the board more contact points to create better edge hold. The chairman's sidecut has two more radius that create and even stronger edge hold for this freeride beast.

Taper – 17mm of taper lets this board float with ease when needed.

Reinforcements

STS Pretensioned Fiberglass - Pre-hardened and tensioned fiberglass with added elastomer stringers between the fiberglass running the length of the effective edge. Ultimately resulting in epic strength, edge hold, and performance. (7)

Carbon Max Laminate Technology – Large carbon fiber V from the inserts to the nose/tail of the board for quick response and increased torsional rigidity. More carbon equals more power and performance with clean energy transfer.

Base/Edges

Durasurf  XT Sintered 5501 Base - Exclusive to Never summer this sintered base has been blended with graphite for the fastest base they have ever  used! (13)

Sintered P-tex Sidewall - Never Summer was the first snowboard to compony to use sintered P-tex sidewalls.  Its not a surprise that they are the best at it. Never Summer has still yet to see a P-tex sidewall crack. (12)

Additional Awesomeness

RDS 1 Damping System – Laminated damping layers running the length of the board for stability at speed while reducing tip and tail swing weight. (10)
