With the Phantom Hooded Down Jacket packed nicely in your pack, you begin your day long tour around sunrise all layered up with a nice shell jacket on for maximum breathability.    You stop skinning to give yourself enough time to set up camp before the sun goes down, and when it goes down it's gonnna get cold so you put on the Phantom Hooded Down Jacket that is sporting 850 Q.Shield Fill Down.  The jacket's fabric isn't waterproof but the down will remain warm if it does get wet.  It's best to use the Phantom when it's just really friggen cold, if it's heavy wet snow you're going to need some added protection.

If you are camping the Phantom Hooded Down Jacket doubles as a pretty nice pillow, just fold it up into the pocket and you'll be good to go.

Fit

Standard Fit - Mountain Hardwear built this shell with their standard fit. Fits true to size and has been know to give you the appearance that you're skiing faster and jumping higher.

High-loft down jacket for the coldest of days that have little to no percipitation.  

Insulation

Q.Sheild 800 fill down insulation.  The Q.Sheild down is property of Mountain Hardwear and it's what sets the Phantom Hooded Down apart from other jackets like it.  The down is hydrophobic, the down stays dry even when allowing moisture out.  Basically you stay warmer in Q.Shield Down than in regular Down.

Pockets

Interior Mesh Pockets - With two large mesh drop pockets on the inside of your Phantom jacket you have space for essentials that are best to keep warm -- like food.

Hand Warmer Pockets - These helpful pockets are also pack compatible, no need to take off your pack to keep your hands warm in your jacket.
