The 2016 Liberty Jinx Skis suit advanced to expert level women who show up early for an 8:30 am reservation and routinely feast on the snow conditions de jour. By pairing a 94 millimeter waist with a 13 meter sidecut, Liberty readies the Jinx for the entire spectrum of terrain. Substantial, but gradual, Stealth Rocker in the tip gets the Jinx’s up on edge swiftly on hard pack, while supplying buoyancy, agility, and therefore confidence in deep snow. Functional rigidity at low overall weight is achieved by XCORE Construction’s use of Bamboo and Paulownia vertical wood laminates. P-Tex 2000 Base plastic is remarkably tough, and sets you up to leave your ski buddies in the dust.

Construction

XCORE Construction - This blend of woods at the core of the Jinx’s is intended to provide high energy at low mass. This is possible through the selection and placement of high performance materials. Bamboo provides high strength to weight properties in every Liberty ski, and promotes consistent edge contact on trail. Made stable at speed by bamboo, the Jinx’s retain their lateral quickness, by utilizing light weight paulownia wood at core center. 

UHMW Polyethylene Sidewall - Polyethylene sidewalls devour vibration, keeping the ski awesomely stable at high speed. This material is highly resistant to abrasion, and pairs with HRC 48 Edges in order to protect the wood core of the ski from repeated edge-to-edge impacts.

P-TEX 2000 Base - This is a fast, sintered base which accepts and retains wax extremely well. In the race against your ski buddies, you’ve gotta take every advantage you can get.

Core

Bamboo/Paulownia/Poplar Wood Core - Bamboo provides power and edging ability on hard pack, in addition to smooth, weightless transitions in heavy snow and pow. Paulownia at the center of the core gives the Jinx’s a balanced, maneuverable high end feel. Low mass High energy.

Shape

Stealth Rocker - Rocker in the tip of the ski starts low, but doesn’t rise abruptly, and therefore doesn’t push snow. This gradual rise causes the ski to plane on top of pow, and affords the ski exceptional maneuverability in spring mash.

Additional Awesomeness

HRC 48 Edges - Hardened by heat and manufactured with a broader profile, and bigger anchors, the HRC 48 edges are beefy as heck, and provide edge grip tune after tune.

Fiber Reinforced Polymer - Liberty positions this ultra high density material under binding to contribute rigidity to the cambered under-foot portion of the Jinx skis. Mats of FRP also increase binding screw retention. Liberty know’s how hard you rip.

Binding

The Liberty Jinx women's skis do not come with a binding. We recommend you use a binding that will accommodate your skiing needs (backcountry, touring, all-mountain, freestyle etc.).
