Lange’s XT3 110w accomplishes what many expert skiers want, a resort capable boot that can turn some burly stiff skis but are uphill capable. You might be thinking that you've heard this pitch before, but while there are a lot of boots in this category these days, the Lange XT3s really do stand out from a skiing perspective. The rebound and the responsiveness in these things feels as close to a real deal race-style downhill boot as we've ever found in a hybrid-touring boot (And trust me, we've tested them all). That's not a knock on the other boots in this category, the majority of skiers wouldn't necessarily notice a difference, but for an expert skier that needs her AT boot to still be able to drive a ski, the Lange XT3 is the boot.
