It's not anything crazy, but for a beginner skier, or just someone who's skiing more casually and doesn't mind sacrificing a bit of performance, the K2 Mindbender 85 will make your days on the mountain way more fun. First off, it's way better than having to deal with the rental shop. With a fulll wood core, some sidewall, and fiberglass reinforcements this isn't the burliest ski by any means but it's still built like a "real" ski that can take your skiing to the next level. It can also be a great bridge from someone who has been renting before but is still a few years away from a more aggressive ski.
