RULE MERCILESSLY OVER ALL TERRAIN

Ladies, Women, Girls... The K2 Empress is a pretty sweet beginner/intermediate all-mountain twin tip. Based off of the Men's K2 Press, you'll find the Empress to be a much more versatile alternative to to traditional entry level skis. Jib Rocker is a functional park ski profile, which also serves to makes variable terrain much more managable. If the park isn't your thing, that doesn't mean that this is the wrong ski for you, if you want a forgiving, soft, buttery, playful ski grab a pair of these affordable K2 Empress women skis. In the midst of providing a wide margin for user error, The Empress solidly grips hard snow and ice, meeting the demands of steep, east coast faces. This is a great ski for girls to get on as their first pair of adult skis too!

Construction

Cap Construction - A lightweight durable construction that makes the Women's Empress easy to turn and control.

Triaxial Braid - An exclusive K2 technology that interlocks fiberglass strands around the ski's wood core, resulting in phenomenal torsional rigidity without effecting the skis flex pattern.

Core

BioFlex 2 - 70% Aspen / 30% Paulownia - This women's specific core incorporates a softer wood in the tip and tail, with a stiffer wood under binding. The softer wood allows the skis to easily enter and exit turns, while the stiffer wood provides energy and stability. The blend of these particular woods, give the Empress reduced swing weight for added control.

Shape

Jib Rocker - 20% Rocker / 80% Flat - A playful rocker shape that incorporates a rockered tip and tail with a flat zone under binding. The flat zone provides solid edge hold on hard snow, while the rockered areas are ideal for freestyle presses, butters and added float when conditions soften up.

Additional Awesomeness

Tip and Tail Hardware - Tip and tail protectors that help prevent against de-laming and tip/tail separation, from harsh terrain park abuse.

Park Flex-Pattern
