The surfiest looking snowboard we have seen in a while. The K2 Cool Bean will most definitely live up to its weird-looking pow shape and easily surf through the soft stuff… but it's everything else that will surprise you. When K2 built the Cool Bean, I don't think they intended to create such an awesome all-mountain riding deck that looks like a one-trick pony. The snowboard's shape and unique proportions give it a ton of width, which directly affects it's floatation and carve-ability. The extra width helps with the ultimate surfy feel, but it also contributes to the Cool Bean's epic groomed snow performance. You will be laying down massive carves on this short, beefy surf stick. One of the coolest (no pun intended) snowboards we have been on in a long time. Cool Beans, Hot Rice!

Construction

Hybritech - A lightweight construction that brings you unrivaled performance and durability. A full length sidewall is tapered into the tip and tail to reduce swing weight and allow for easy turn initiation.

Tweekend - K2 tweaks the ends of their snowboards! They extend the rocker areas to the boards extremities, helping to maximize the total riding surface. Stomp, butter, float and press your way down the mountain on a bigger, more stable riding area.

Core

WH3 - A multi piece full length wood core provides strength and durability. The WH3 core features two Honeykomb stringers that are layered between the bindings for added durability.

K2 Baseline

All Terrain - A do-it-all rocker shape that features a rockered tip and tail, with a flat zone in-between the bindings. The All-Terrain profile is designed to be a directional baseline. There is a medium rise through the tip with a lower rise in the tail, ideal for all-purpose shredding.

Tapered Directional - The K2 Cool Bean has a tapered directional shape for hard-charging surf-like turns through soft, fluffy pow!

Reinforcement

Biax Glass - A top and bottom dual-layer of fiberglass, provides a smooth stable ride across any type of snow condition.

Base / Edges

4000 Sintered Base - A super fast base material that greatly absorbs wax and retains it longer.
