If you've ever sabred a bottle of Champagne, you know how fun it is and how much it gets the party going, the Icelantic Sabre 89 isn't much different. Honestly the Sabre 89 skis a lot like a Sick Day 95 with a little more punch in the tail, making it a little more frontside oreinted. This ski really rips and grips on the hardpack especially for a ski that feels this light, a more race inspired feel than you've felt in previous Icelantics. Though the Sabre 89's rip on the front they still are loose enough to navigate through tighter trees and float in some pow.
The reason to go with the Sabre 89?
You want one pair of skis that can do a bit of everything but is front side focused. More versatile than the Kendo, it skis like a blend of the Brahma and Sick Day.
Construction
A full vertical sidewall construction for solid edge grip on hardpack snow and increased torsional stiffness.
Core
A full woodcore for durability and a smooth stable ride.
Shape
Tapered tip and tail.
Rockered tip and camber underfoot.
Additional Awesomeness
Made in America, Denver.
Binding
The Icelantic Sabre 89's do not come with a binding. We recommend you use a binding that will accommodate your skiing needs (backcountry, touring, all-mountain etc.). We recommend a brake width of 90 mm to 97mm depending on the ski binding manufacturer.
Give us a shout, for other options that will best suit you. We test everything we sell, and don’t.
