MID-LAYER IT UP

Best used as a mid-layer, the Ibex Shak Classic will always be in your adventure kit. Whether you need some extra warmth on a fall hike or some layers for an active day of ski touring the Shak has the skills to pay the bills. The merino wool construction lets you skip the itch and benefit from the insulating powers wool. Wool is an animal fiber that is hollow in the middle and this is its secret to insulation and water resistance. Wool molecules may get a little damp on the outside when they come in contact with water, but the inside of the wool fibers naturally repel H20 allowing pockets of warm air to get trapped. The Shak Classic has clean lines that look great in the office and flat lock seams that keep you comfortable when wearing a heavy pack. Most synthetics get stinky fast but wool know you don’t wash your clothes often enough and good old merino has you covered.

Fit

Semi-Fit - The Shak Classic fits closer to the body while still leaving room for base layers.

Fabric/Performance Level

Shak - The shak fabric from Ibex is durable and breathable. The weave starts from a 21 micron base and the stitches end up square and dense to leave you with bomb proof construction that is soft on the skin.

Insulation

100% Merino Wool - The Shak Classic is insulated entirely with 380g/m2 merino wool.

This mid-layer has one 6.5” zippered chest pocket.
