If you’re the person who’s constantly cold out on the ski hill and is tired of an trying to win an unwinnable battle against the cold with countless layers, than this jacket is probably for you. 200g of synthetic PrimaLoft insulation may not mean anything to you unless you’re a huge ski jacket nerd like me, but basically what it means is that this jacket is really warm. Like coldest day of the year at Stowe, VT you’re still covered, warm. Helly Hansen doesn’t miss a thing when it comes to making sure their jackets are covered with all the necessary features so in addition to all that warmth you still get a jacket that’s fully waterproof and breathable, unlike most down jackets that are merely “water-resistant.” Keep the fur on for nights out in the city, or zip it off easily for days on the mountain, that parts up to you, just make sure you’ve got this jacket on hand for when the shell isn’t gonna cut it.
