Head Advant Edge 95 Ski Boots 2018

TAKE IT UP A NOTCH.

Head has upped the ante with the new Advant Edge 95, giving skiers a leg up with more efficient power transfer.  More efficient power transfer means skiing more difficult terrain becomes easier, skiers that are in soft boots can have a difficult time getting the response needed out of rental level boots -- the Advant Edge 95 bridges the gap.  Feeling comfortable in your boots while feeling more confident on black diamonds is what this boot is about and it won't let you down.

Forward Flex / Boot Fit

Adjustable Flex between 85/95.

102mm Last @ Size 26/26.5

Form-Fit Shell - Heat moldable plastic means that the only thing between between you and a custom fitted ski boot is a 30 minute custom fitting process.

AdvantEDGE Hi-Top Shell Construction - Through the development of a lower shell that extends higher up your shin, Head has improved energy transfer and rebound by 30 and 40% respectively. The key function of this technology is increasing the area of direct contact between the tongue of the liner and the lower shell of the boot (Head refers to these extensions of the lower shell as DuoFlex Drivers).

Liner

Perfect Fit HD Pro Liner - An awesome heat moldable liner that provides an excellent out-of-box fit.

Buckles

4 Spine Tech Buckles - Of course, these are micro adjustable buckles, an essential part of achieving a fit that is as unique as your foot. Spine Tech buckles take fit a step further with the incorporation of a hinge function. In most ski boots, the result of a strong closure is a compromised fit. This is the most common cause of pressure point pain. By integrating a flex point in the buckle, Head is able to engineer boots which maintain their intended, ergonomic shape, even when aggressively cranked down.

Additional Awesomeness

Double Canting - Canting in this sense refers to the alignment, or lateral tilt, of the boots upper cuff. Misaligned cuffs increase the likelihood of catching an edge, and can make standing in your boots extremely uncomfortable. There is no reason to tolerate this type of pain. The canting adjustment is easy to make, but if you don’t feel like doing it yourself, or aren’t sure if it’s appropriate, then stop by the ski monster’s downtown Boston flagship store for a proper assessment.
