Giro Nine MIPS Ski Helmet

The Giro Nine MIPS Ski Helmet is a smooth low profile skid lid with looks that kill, and the skills that ladies love. MIPS technology is a cool upgrade for the Nine, adding an additional element of safety. MIPS allows the helmet liner and shell to move independently of each other in crash situations - significantly reducing the rotational force or torque transferred to the rider. In-Mold Construction is a Giro helmet technology that is indicative of the care that is taken throughout their manufacturing process. The In-Mold process results in a Helmet shell and liner which are fused in the mold, rather than being molded separately and glued together. This is the type of craftsmanship we have come to expect from Giro. The In-Form Fit System, which includes a vertical tuning feature created specifically to eliminate goggle gap, delivers a money fit. Thermostat Control Vent System keeps you comfy in any temperature conditions, and the Stack Vents contribute as much to keeping your goggles fog free as anything ever has - seriously.

In-Mold Construction - Giro fuses a rigid polycarbonate shell with the foam liner in a single mold. This process allows Giro to create helmets that are lighter and stronger

Fit System

In Form Fit System - A turn dial system in the rear of the helmet that gives you 6 cm of adjustment.

Vertical Tuning - Add or subtract depth to perfect the way the Nine Helmet sits on your head.

Thermostat Control Adjustable Vents - Giro gives you the ability to fully customize your venting system. They place a super low-profile switch on the exterior of the helmet, for quick and easy vent adjustments.

Stack Vent - prevents goggle fog by allowing goggle vents to remain functional.

Additional Awesomeness

MIPS - MIPS technology (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) protects shredders against rotational force, a less frequent, but equally dangerous type of impact. The MIPS System accomplishes this by allowing the shell of the helmet to move independently of the liner during a collision situation. As a result, much of the dangerous rotational force is absorbed by the helmet rather than your head and neck.

Removable Ear Pieces - Pop them out for your spring trip out West.
