One of the lightest, most efficient touring boots that can still drive a ski predictably.

AIN'T NO MOUNTAIN HIGH ENOUGH.

The Fischer Transalp Pro is a light weight alpine touring boot that blurs the line between ultra light weight touring boots and heavier, more powerful Alpine Touring boots. In this subsect of AT boots the Fischer Transalp is a boot built to optimize efficiency while touring/hiking through the backcountry while still allowing for a little bit of performance as you ski down whatever you just toured up to. Similar to the Tecnica Zero G, not quite as powerful or precise, these are boots for skiers who are looking to prioritize weight as opposed to downhill performance but. The Transalp Pro has an awesomely smooth walk mode with some serious range of motion and it's really light (1280g @ 26.5). On the descent the boot still offers enough support and responsiveness so you're skiing remains exciting and predictable. This is a boot that is designed to be paired with lightweight skis and touring bindings. It's not a very powerful boot, it's not built for arcing turns, but in its respective category it's one of the best options to maintain good skiability.

How's the fit? Instep is snug but not suffocating. Toe box feels a little more pointed. Width is on the generous side for a mid volume. Heel is firm but not like a downhill boot. Length feels short but enough to warrant sizing up.
