The Aeon Primaloft Hood Jacket is the warmest synthetic jacket that Dynafit makes. There is a big debate in the outdoor apparel business on how to attach the insulation to the jacket. If you want to be warm, the best way to do it is to stitch the insulation to the inner lining. By keeping the insulation close to your skin you stay warmer. The only downside is that the jacket doesn’t look very good when the outer layer hangs loosely from the coat. Dynafit solved this looks vs functionality problem by attaching 30% of the insulation to the exterior of the coat and 70% to the interior lining. This gives you excellent excellent cold weather protection along with dashing good looks for the urban environment. Dynafit uses Pertex Quantum, a highly advanced lightweight nylon material, to make up the exterior and interior fabric of this jacket. The hood on this coat is definitely worth talking about. It is not designed to fit a large ski helmet, instead this hood fits perfectly around your noggin and it insulates so well you might consider leaving your winter hat at home. The fit on this jacket is a little more athletic than other american brands that you may be used to, but close to the body is a little warmer and it makes this jacket perfect for layering. This jacket has hand warmer pockets, a zippered napoleon pocket and an interior pocket that doubles as a stuff sack.

Primaloft Gold - This jacket uses 100 grams of insulation in the body and 60 grams in the body and sleeves. That gives you warmth where you need it and less bulk where you need range of  motion.

Pockets

On the outside there area two zippered hand warmer pockets and one zippered chest pocket. On the inside there is one pocket that doubles as a stuff sack when you turn it inside out.
