DPS Wailer 112 Alchemist Skis 2018

DPS Wailer 112 Alchemist Skis 2018

DPS Wailer 112 Alchemist Skis 2018

GOES WHERE OTHERS CANNOT.

Test Locations: Big Sky MT, Aspen CO, Snowbird UT

DPS has made as much progress toward the mythical one-ski-quiver as any manufacturer in the game. 112 millimeters of ski under-boot provides enough buoyancy to stay on top of the coldest smoke falling. An aspen core is fortified by dual 30mm carbon stringers. These ultra-efficient core materials allow for the technical dissection of rutted bumps, and hop-turn maneuverability on super steep faces, without forfeiting stability on hard pack. A lowered rocker profile produces punch-though-power in crud, while delivering more consistent edge grip. UHMW sidewalls are a bEast coaster’s biggest ally, and a powder hounds' insurance policy. It is the hard snow, after all, that separates the men from the boys.

FAQ:

How does the Pure3 construction and Alchemist construction differ?

Basically the new construction is way more durable.  The Pure3 construction was just sidewall, the Alchemist construction has a mini-cap – this was done for durability purposes, less chipping on the top sheet.  The tail of the skis also has a tail bar to keep delaming from happening.

Perfromance wise the Alchemist construction is going to be less nervous feeling on harder snow and at speed, this will be more noticable on super hard snow like the stuff we have here in the North East.  Otherwise still the same great ski, no con’s to the construction at all.

Construction

DPS Alchemist Construction

Alchemist Pure Carbon

Ultra High Molecular Weight Sidewall - Sidewall construction extends the useful life of your ski, and increases edge grip throughout that time. UHMW Sidewalls create a grippy, damp, and durable feel, allowing you to let em rip with confidence.

Austrian World Cup Race Bases - Hard and Fast. These race bases will leave you with time to kill at the base area, while you wait for your riding buddies to catch up. If they aren't down by the time you hit up the lift-side waffle shack... Leave em in the dust. Remember - No friends on a groomer day.

Rockwell 48 Edges - DPS employs hardened steel to provide the edge grip required to go where others can't to get the goods.

Core

Aspen Wood Core - Aspen is a high density hardwood, renowned for its exceptional toughness, durability and stiffness.

Shape

Rocker | Camber | Rocker - Low profile rocker in the tip and tail allows the Wailer 112 to slice through snow like Japanese cutlery. Camber distributes your weight along the effective edge, for powerful turning capability on hard pack..

Additional Awesomeness

Infinite Flex Life - The Flex of a typical ski softens over time. DPS uses higher quality resins to create skis with an energetic feel that is able to endure a tremendous number of groomed gashing, pow slashing ski days.

Wide Profile Edge - Beast mode. Flat out.
