For uphill riders, it’s an exciting thing to see Burton, the heaviest hitter in the snowboard game, really go out and make an all-around, awesome touring bag. Even with the split board now celebrating over 20 years of existence, backcountry touring is still an overwhelmingly skier-dominated sport. It’s awesome then to see Burton really embrace the backcountry culture with the Taft bag. And embrace it they did, this bag has got to right away jump to the top of anybody’s Christmas list. It’s just loaded with functional additions like axe holsters, pole carriers, and hydration compatibility. It’s got two modes of carry depending on what kind of board you rock, and it’s even got a brand new ergonomic fit that hugs your body in any situation. The back panel of the bag is compression molded for this very same reason, and also just feel super cool. It’s not often you see a bag that packs this much power and versatility for anywhere on any mountain. 

Fit

Ergonomic fit on the shoulders and hips to improve balance and versatility. 

Fabric

A combination of 305D Polyester and 500D Nylon for the most durable backpack you could find, all topped off with a PU finish to give it extra stretch and flexibility. Tough and Flex, everything you need in the backcountry. 

Snowboard Carry Style

Vertical Board Carry - If you have a shorter board you can strap that right onto the back of the pack, because it’ll be short enough that it won’t get in the way of your legs as you walk. 

A-Frame Splitboard Carry - These straps on the outside of the bag allow for your split board to be detached and strapped diagonally outside the bag, forming an “A” shape above your head. (This’ll work with skis too).

Main Compartment - 24 Liter main storage unit with easy back panel entry to effectively reach all of your gear.
