The Mission Pro Pants are the best ski pants that Black Diamond makes hands down. These Gore-Tex Pro 3L shell pants are lined with a microgrid backer that helps manage moisture, but more importantly it doesn’t feel clammy when the pants are next to skin. The microgrid backer is one of the main features that distinguishes Gore Pro from other Gore offerings. The second feature that really sets these pants apart is the absolutely bomb proof nylon face fabric. This 150 denier plain-weave fabric is much more durable than other polyester offerings. These pants are loaded with great features like a PIEPS avalanche beacon pocket, RECCO reflector, and integrated/removable belt. So that means you can travel to avalanche terrain, carry the right safety equipment, and not look like a plumber doing it. Fit

These pants are designed for layering. They are shell pants that can easily accept a base layer and even a pair of fleece pants for freezing chairlift laps. These pants look good. Fitted where you need them to be mixed with just the right amount of extra room.

Pockets

PIEPS Pocket - The front right pocket on the Mission Pro pants is designed specifically for their PIEPS avalanche beacons. The pocket is protected with Poron XRD which is a revolutionary protective foam that is definitely worth a google. Inside the pocket there is an internal harness with a unique index finger operated alligator clip. This clip will have you pulling out your beacon faster than any wild west gun slinger.

These pants have a huge thigh pocket for all your extra goodies and there is also a zippered pocket on the back right of the pants. All pockets are sealed with YKK waterproof zippers.
