All the Atomic Mavericks eat groomers for breakfast, but the one that does it best is the Maverick 88 Ti. The Maverick 88 Ti is an all-mountain shape but with a little more Atomic Redster series in its DNA than Atomic Bent DNA, meaning it's more powerful than playful. At 88mm underfoot this ski is precise and feels at home up on edge but isn't too demanding if you're just out cruising around. We love a ski that provides the feeling of power underfoot but is easy to control and throttle from turn to turn. This is an awesome ski if you like to spend the majority of your ski days ripping groomers and want great grip on firm snow. Usually, skis that do this well on groomers and carve mean turns are difficult at low speeds or they don't handle variable terrain. We've skied these on both coasts over all sorts of terrain and they can handle just about anything you throw at them. They're built for groomers but are nimble enough to handle some adventuring. From beginners to experts, the Mav 88 is appreciated by a huge range of skiers. If you're looking for a more versatile option check out the Maverick 95 Ti.
Who is this ski for? Skiers who love groomers and prioritize grip but need something that can handle the occasional bump run or adventure off-piste.
Who isn't this ski for? Skiers who want a powder ski or spend a ton of time off trail. There are better options for off-trail skiing or skiing in softer snow.
