The 98mm shouldn't scare you off, it's a forgiving 98 mm in the forefoot, partly because the shell is a little bit thinner and anatomical (meaning it fits around the bones in your feet). The toe box is a more pointed, but does not warrant going up or down a size. The heel pocket is snug and precise but not aggressive. Out of the box you may notice some pressure on the tips of your ankle bones, this will go away after the shell molding process. Instep room is generous for a 98 mm last.
