Armada Magic J Skis 2017

Armada Magic J Skis 2017

Armada Magic J Skis 2017

AND THE 2017 GRAPHIC OF THE YEAR GOES TO.

Test Locations: Snowbird UT

The Magic J is the widest ski in the Armada line up at 126mm in the waist in a 180cm length and also the choice ski for Tanner Hall.  If you venture to where the snow is deepest and don't want to be under-gunned at any point the answer is Magic J.  If you prefer to ridge lines instead of lift lines, Magic J.  If you leave your pillow in the morning to drop pillows Magic J.  This is a ski for people that love fresh snow and will do whatever it takes to find it.

The level of floatation is insane, so insane that if you're using it on only 5 inches of snow, you might be complaining about having too much float -- at least that's how we felt one day in Mineral Basin at Snowbird.  Think JJ just for those snowier days that you see in movies.

Construction

Armada Ski Construction

AR50 Sidewall - A rock solid vertical sidewall construction that helps with overall stability, as well as providing you the most durable platform for hard shredding.

Laminate Matrix - Fiberglass is layered in multiple different directions helping to dictate the skis flex pattern. It also gives the skis increased torsional strength.

Core

Hybrid Ultra Light Core - An incredibly light wood core that still provides you with the strength, energy and torsional rigidity that you're looking for.

Shape

EST Freeride Rocker - Tip and tail rocker with camber underfoot. The rockered zones in the tip and tail give the JJ unparalleled flotation and maneuverability through the deep stuff. Armada gives the skis some positive camber underfoot for stability and increased control on hard snow.

Rocker Camber Key

Rocker Camber Rocker Ski Profile

Additional Awesomeness

1.7 Impact Edge - A incredibly light edge that doesn't sacrifice durability and strength.

Binding

The Armada Magic J Skis do not come with a binding. We recommend you use a binding that will accommodate your skiing needs (backcountry, touring etc.). Be sure the release settings will work for your particular activity and skier type. Questions about what's best for you, give us a shout.

Recommended Binding & Brake Size: Tyrolia Attack 13.  We recommend a brake width of 125 - 136mm for the Armada Magic J.

Crikey!!! Looks like we’re sold out.

Give us a shout, for other options that will best suit you. We test everything we sell, and don’t.
