The first time I skied on this was at Big Sky with one of the founders of Armada, Hans Smith -- goes without saying, but the dude is a ripping skier.  We headed up the tram to ski down the chutes on some chalky wind buffed snow.  There wasn't quite enough snow to justify having 106mm, but it's a new ski and it needs to be tested and put through the wringer.  It was incredible how nimble the ARV 106 was for being as wide as it is, the ski made it through some fairly technical, steep and exposed terrain virtually effortlessly -- perfect amount of rocker and camber.  

The ARV 106 is more playful than the Invictus 108 Ti, for sure but it is surprisingly stable at speed and plenty of fun for when you have to rip a groomer.  Comparing the ARV 106 to the Line Sick Day 110 another one of our favorites  it just feels a little more solid underfoot and is more fun when you're carving turns without feeling as planky as the Black Crows Corvus.  

The ARV 106 is ski that's always in your Thule Box because no matter what the conditions it can get the job done and make any day on the mountain a ton of fun.

TLDR: Can't let go of having a kicked up tail, but demand all mountain performance in a 100 + mm waisted ski.

Recommended Binding: The Armada ARV 106's do NOT include a binding -- the best skis come flat.
