The Patera Parka from Arcteryx is a knock out of a city coat. You get the badass weather protection of Gore-Tex and the warmth of down all wrapped together. The Gore-Tex fabric on the outside is super waterproof, but it doesn’t feel like a stiff crinkly bag. This coat is honestly soft to the touch and almost feels like cotton. It will definitely leave you thinking, how did they do that? The regular fit it perfect for winter layering and there is plenty of coverage below the waist. The 750 fill goose down is really toasty, but Arcteryx intelligently put their synthetic insulation Coreloft in all the places that typically get wet. One of the best jackets for city life out there.
