Ski Bindings: Marker's Royal Family

Posted December 7, 2010 @ 8:53am | by Eric Gerrmann

Marker created the Royal Family of bindings with one thing in mind, to make the wide-ski-loving free skier's life more awesome! Marker was able to combine lightweight, functionality and power transmission into one ski binding for all types of advanced level skiers. Free Riders and Freestylers alike will greatly benefit from the technology Marker was able to develop.

The Royal Family of bindings enable wider waisted skis to perform well in all snow conditions. The bindings toe piece has increased boot lug contact, making a wider ski feel more responsive edge-to-edge. A new heel design focuses on power in direction of the boot sole for superior holding power and energy transfer.

Triple Pivot Elite Toe

Marker's Royal Family of bindings have a unique toe construction that delivers superior holding power for free riding. The Triple Pivot Elite Toe comes with a cross-axis toe spring, 5 inch sole holder angle, featuring a high energy absorption to prevent pre-release. The toe's wide contact zone optimizes power transfer and allows for extremely quick edge transfers.

Inter-Pivot Heel

The Royal Family's heel construction also delivers superior holding power for free riding. The Inter-Pivot heel directs the power forces in the angle of elasticity improving the holding power and reducing pre-releases.
